An Australian man that leaped across a fence and touched Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was sentenced to over a week in detention for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority told local media.

He forced his way through camera crews and rushed toward the actress and singer, who was participating in the Asian debut for the musical adaptation on 13 November. Co-performer Cynthia Erivo intervened to remove him from Grande.

Wen has a history of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including rushing the stage at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in the past June.

The event sparked outrage in Singapore, with numerous people saying he of causing further distress to the star.

The pop star has mentioned dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a explosive incident at her performance in the English city in several years ago killed 22 individuals and injured hundreds.

In the legal process, the authorities learned he had tried to gain access on the movie's debut multiple times, according to local news sources.

He then made a follow-up try to jump the barricades. Event security intercepted him and held him in place.

He then uploaded recordings expressing gratitude to the star for allowing his presence and said he was "at liberty."

Police arrested him the following day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which he confessed.

The District Judge Christopher Goh was cited by media reports as stating that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was wrong to assume he would not face any penalties.

The actress has not commented on the case.

The co-star discussed the situation to the press, stating that she "just wanted to ensure my friend was protected."

"I believe he didn't mean us injury, but you never know with those things, and I sought to confirm that she was alright. That was my first instinct," she said.
