US President Donald Trump States 'Largely, Parties Are Aligned' on Subsequent Phases of Peace Deal in Gaza

President Trump has indicated that "in general, parties are aligned" on how the following steps of the peace deal in Gaza will unfold, though he acknowledged that "a few particulars … will be resolved."

"Hamas is assembling them at present," he said, referring to the hostages still held in Gaza. "They're in some pretty rough locations."

He, who has been commended by Hamas and numerous Israelis for his role in achieving a ceasefire deal, said he believes the deal will "remain in place" because "they're all weary of the fighting."

Forthcoming Meeting on Gaza Issue

At the same time, the president aims to assemble global figures for a summit on Gaza during his travel to the Arab Republic of Egypt in the coming week. Attendees slated to participate are delegates from the European nation, France, the Britain, Italy, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

According to sources, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be absent.

President's Schedule

The president stated that he would engage with a "lot of dignitaries" in Cairo on the start of the week to address the direction of Gaza. It has been reported that he will also go to Israel, where he will address the Knesset.

Significant Events

  • Many of individuals made their way to the severely damaged Gaza's north on last Friday as a ceasefire mediated by the US came into effect. Those still 48 captives—approximately 20 of them believed to be surviving—will be let go by Monday.
  • Uncertainties persist over who will govern the region as forces retreat step by step and whether the group will relinquish arms, as stipulated in the president's truce agreement. PM Netanyahu, who called off a truce in last March, hinted that the country might restart its offensive if they does not give up its weapons.
  • The international body was granted permission by the government to commence distributing expanded aid into the territory starting on the weekend. This assistance will comprise a large quantity that have been pre-positioned in adjacent states such as the Kingdom of Jordan and Egypt as relief coordinators awaited authorization from Israel's military to resume their efforts.
  • An official the spokesman informed the press on last Friday that fuel, medical supplies, and vital resources have commenced entering through the Kerem Shalom border point. Representatives want authorities to open more crossing points and ensure secure passage for relief personnel and residents who are returning to areas in Gaza that were subject to intense shelling just a short time ago.
  • Lebanese President he censured Israel on the weekend for executing nocturnal attacks on non-military sites that the health authority said resulted in at least one death. "Once again, the south of Lebanon has been the object of a egregious Israeli aggression against civilian installations—unjustifiably or pretext," the president remarked.
  • Israeli authorities provided a roster of the individuals in custody that it aims to free as part of the peace accord made with Hamas. Out of the 250 detainees, a group of 15 will be let go in the eastern part of the city, one hundred to the Palestinian territory, and 135 will be deported. At first, when Hamas officials provided a selection of proposed detainees to be released to mediators in the Arab Republic, they demanded the release of well-known Palestinian leaders such as the figure. Yet, the prime minister's team affirmed it will not agree to release the individual.
